The infinite scroll wheel is nice if you need to scroll through a long document or web page. The sides of the mouse are covered in a kind of anti-slip material, which is very nice because this makes the mouse light up firmly in your hand and you won't be bothered by your mouse flying out of your hand in a quick movement.
LOGITECH PROTEUS CORE INSTALL
What is annoying is that if you install the extra weights incorrectly, they are almost impossible to get out. The extra buttons are handy and can be set to anything you want, for example: Push to talk, Switch weapon, etc. Great sensor that never took a spin with me as was sometimes the case with my old mouse, in Fortnite when I was in a battle and had to make quick movement across the screen, my old mouse sometimes spun. This mouse is an extension of my arm, it doesn't feel like something I have in my hands like with my old mouse (Logitech G302). I've been using this mouse for about 3/4 months now, and the only word that comes to mind is Phenomenal.
The shape, it fills your hand making it feel like an extension of your arm) Thumb support

When released, you passionately continue playing at full speed to that highscore, multikill or headhunter status.Ī mighty device for the complete mouse experience, if you ask me. While shooting (or building/simming/RPG'end) you can easily change dpi settings, release your scroll wheel for ultimate scrolling pleasure and with the push of a button the preset dpi setting is lowered for the "precision work". Your image spectrum flows seamlessly into that of the Proteus spectrum, in an all-powerful, virtually steamy world. And then the game starts, first the foreplay of course, you start Steam (or something else) and immediately you are 1 whole. You set the color via the software, as if you were allowed to choose the color of the exciting underwear for your other half. You open your Logitech box and BAM! There it is showing off, shining and asking to be pushed sultryly into the USB port.Īsking to be filled with 1 to 5 3.6 gram weights via the extremely easy-to-remove, magnetically closed compartment lid. You open your Coolblue box, BAM! Design Logitech box. The mouse was a present to my friend for his birthday here's his review: So many settings that I forgot my favorite color Response and ease of click are ideal (the click sound should not be left behind)
Or we could just print errors and provides a way to easily write default profiles to the mouse in case something goes wrong.Extension of the forearm (sometimes better than one's own hand) Is reading the profiles from the ROM enough to solve this? Will all the profiles be copied from ROM on the first change or just the changed profile (leaving invalid data for the other)?
LOGITECH PROTEUS CORE DRIVER
A CRC error should make the driver reread the whole profile list from ROM instead of just the current profile (that may not be an easy change). The first byte check looks useless to me (it failed for PlasmaPower's second profile) and could be remove.
I think the driver should try to mimic the mouse behavior and not default to ROM profile by profile individually.
LOGITECH PROTEUS CORE CODE
This code comes from commit 72d74da, that, from its description, should have addressed PlasmaPower's issue, but it apparently failed.Īdding checks on the profile list should be easy and not since you are the author of the current code, I'd like your opinion. It does not log anything (not even a debug message). The driver checks that the first byte of the profile is non-null and that the CRC is valid. I could write anything in a profile, as long as the CRC is good, the profile is accepted (even absurd report rates are obeyed making the pointer unusable and transferring a new profile very slow). Invalid CRC for the profile list, or any profile.Invalid profile list: invalid addresses or all profiles disabled. The reasons that could make my mouse use its ROM profiles are: But, from my observation of my G502 spectrum, it is either all profiles from ROM or none. When the driver detects an error, it defaults to the ROM profile individually. I have been testing a few broken profiles, and I don't think the hidpp20 driver is behaving appropriately.
